Childhood friends Jax and Nev whose families originate from Dominica and Barbados respectfully followed their passion for food and became chefs back in 1995.
Apart from traditional homemade dishes, Jax & Nev officially got noticed & known for using an under-estimated fish called COLEY.
In 2009 long term friend and Director of 3ness Ltd Paul Francis, who also loved the uniqueness of their exquisite dishes suggested that they turn their hobby into a business with him and his experience organising fitness Weekenders.
Strength to Strength
A small team of serving staff were taken on board, which gave the business scope to cater for larger events and create a catering company.
JaxNev’s services went from strength to strength under the new name of Island Flavours, as catering requests for Weddings, Christenings, Birthdays, Bereavements and Corporate events came flooding in.
Now not only a catering company or a passion for cooking, but also about entertaining & delivering each customer or potential client with a memorable feeling and service.
